Sadly we're
not going to be able to hold a CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL in 2010
For a number of reasons, not least the availability of the Organisation
Team personnel, we plan to take a year out to evaluate what has
been achieved and to consider the way ahead for the future.
We know this decision will disappoint many families in the area
as we have been amazed at the way in which the Festival has been
such a huge success. Attendances over the past 4 years have risen
from around 1,500 in 2006 to over 5,000 in 2009 and we've managed
to breakeven financially every time thanks to the generous support
of many - local councils, businessess, trusts and individuals -
we really appreciate all you have done.
A press release outlining the reasons behind our decision is available:
GO>>>
We are inviting anyone who feels they can help with the organisation
of future Festivals to contact Stephen Derges by
email: GO>>>and
he will be delighted to discuss the skills and experience we are
looking for.
Once again, thanks for all your support so far - we're sure we will
be back again in the future
